Application process for an early vote for the Omaha elections

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha City Council is expected to officially request the Douglas County Election Commissioner Tuesday to send early voting requests to all registered voters in the city for the upcoming citywide election.

Almost half of the registered voters in the city receive a request for an early vote anyway.

The Election Commissioner’s Office reported to 6 News that there were 311,304 registered voters in the city limits as of Jan. 4. Approximately 145,000 of those voters received a green postcard on January 27 to request an early vote.

These voters had already put themselves on the list of requests for an early vote. To do this, print out the application. Make sure the red box that says “Put my name on the list of early voting requests” is checked.
