Arrest warrant issued in opposition to roofer Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An arrest warrant has been issued for the owner of a roofer who has used questionable business practices.

The company gave them a sweatshirt and coffee mug, but Two Brothers Construction still owes two sisters $ 31,000. This is a refund of the insurance money that the contractor paid for rented apartments that were never roofed over.

Irene Sanders said, “Yes, two houses that you never started. They’ve never started before and sent out a final invoice showing that the work was done except for the dumpster fees. “

A theft warrant was issued for Dawson Hartman, the owner of Two Brothers Construction. He faces two crimes: a count for the sisters’ $ 31,000 insurance payment and $ 15,000 for another customer.

“It should definitely discourage them if they are held accountable for not doing this to people in the future. You left a number of victims, ”said Lori Jasa.

The sisters won a civil sentence against Two Brothers Construction but are skeptical about collecting it and the insurance no longer pays off.

But the sisters still needed a roof on this and another rental property down the street. So they dove into their own pockets and hired a new contractor to do the job. That additional cost: $ 20,000.

A basket filled with lawsuits, consumer complaints, and broken refund promises for over two years. Now a penalty order against the roofer will round off the whole thing.

The prosecutor says a defense attorney contacted her but didn’t say a word about whether Hartman was going to throw himself up. The warrant means that he can be arrested anywhere in the country and returned to Omaha.
