Arrested in the fatal Friday morning Omaha Crash

Omaha Police accident investigators say a car owned by Edward Purvis Junior, 26, from Omaha, was traveling east on the Northwest Radial Highway at 49th Street just after midnight on Friday when it left the street, hit a pole and rolled over .

According to police, an unbridled passenger, the 23-year-old Ava-Lepree Carroll fansler from Papillion, was thrown from the vehicle.

She was pronounced dead in the hospital.

Police say Purvis has been booked in Douglas County Corrections for Motor Vehicle Homicide-Willful Reckless.

Investigators believe alcohol and speed were factors in the crash.
