The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s free tech shuttle bus will continue to run between Lincoln and Omaha this summer.

The shuttle will be operational on Monday 17th May and will continue to run through Friday 12th August to support the summer course.

The precautions for Covid-19 that were taken in spring 2021 will continue for the foreseeable future on NE Ride, including riders with half capacity and required face covering.

During the day, two buses operate on a shortened schedule between Osmer Hall, PKI and UNMC.

  • Departures from Osmar Hall (Lincoln): 7:30 am, 1:30 pm, 3:30 pm, 5:30 pm
  • Departure PKI (Omaha): 7:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m.

In order to optimize access to the shuttle, the drivers book the Trip Shot Reservation App. Book the selected time and location. The app also provides real-time tracking of the shuttle so that drivers can receive push notifications and notifications of shuttle arrivals and delays. You don’t have to use the app to get on the college shuttle. Download the phone app from iOS or Android.

You can sign up using the University of Nebraska email domain. The “service name” to start the process is “UNL”.

The UNL Faculty of Engineering does not guarantee that the shuttle will accommodate all drivers per session. The seats are allocated according to availability, with priority being given to the technical seats. Please show the driver the MavCARD or NUID before boarding.
