Inmate detained by CCC-L in Omaha missing for a month

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An inmate who was reported missing at Community Corrections Center – Lincoln a month ago was arrested by the Nebraska State Patrol Monday morning.

Amanda Samaroo was taken into custody in Omaha on April 5th. Officials say Samaroo did not return to CCC-L after going to an employment agency in downtown Lincoln on March 4, 2021.

She served eight to ten years of manufacture, distribution, and ownership with the intent to market meth in Douglas County. Samaroo had a parole hearing scheduled for May 2021 and had a possible release on March 22, 2022.
