Man convicted of Molotov cocktails at Omaha protest
(AP) – OMAHA, Neb. – A 25-year-old Iowa man was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for drinking a Molotov cocktail during protests against racial injustice in downtown Omaha last year.
Council Bluffs’ Steven Fitch was convicted in federal court Wednesday of unlawful possession of a destructive device. After his sentence, he is released under custody for three years.

Prosecutors said Omaha police found Fitch with a Molotov cocktail in their pockets during protests on May 31.
The device contained a clear liquid in a bottle with a red rag. The rag had gas on it and Fitch had several lighters in his pocket.
