Metropolis of Omaha launches new cell app

(Omaha, NE) – The city of Omaha is launching a new mobile app.

The city says the app will provide access to city services, news, and social media sites. The Omaha Mobile App also includes links to popular features on city websites such as the Mayor Hotline, Park Omaha, Wasteline.org and Keepomahamoving.com. Through the app, users can access city news, job vacancies, city government social media pages, and the snow plow tracker.

According to city guides, the app also includes a link to COVID-19 vaccination information and appointments on the Douglas County Health Department, Douglas County Election Commission, and Nebraska DMV websites.

Mayor Jean Stothert says: “The mobile app is another way for the city to offer convenient access to information and services. Taxpayers benefit from timely and accurate communication.”

The app also allows users to receive notifications from city departments, which may include, for example, traffic reports, road closures, garbage collection notifications, and public meeting schedules.

The app is now available in the Apple Store and the Google Play Store.
