Missing inmates arrested in Omaha
OMAHA, Neb. (KMTV) – Two inmates who went missing at Community Corrections Center – Lincoln (CCC-L) on April 29, 2021 were arrested in Omaha on Sunday, according to a statement from the Nebraska Department of Justice.
Clifford Brown and Jacob Roeder were detained near 16th and Carter Boulevards.
Roeder has been convicted of multiple charges in Dawson County for possession of methamphetamine and is facing new charges for possession of the drug. He was sentenced to three years in prison with a provisional release date on October 13, 2021.
Brown began a two-year prison sentence on February 1, 2021 for two cases related to the possession of methamphetamine and a lethal weapon by a banned person. Its preliminary release date is November 19, 2021.
The CCC-L facility is one of two shared repositories operated by the NDCS. Inmates in this type of facility are permitted to work, attend school, and attend religious services without prior authorization and without direct supervision.
