OMAHA, Neb. – It will be months before a road is repaired in Omaha. The street collapsed Tuesday morning after a drain pipe collapsed.

A large hole south of the junction of 36th Street and Ponca Road is all that is left of the route. Traffic is diverted for months when repairs are made.

Emergency teams say the road closure will slow response to calls on the other side of the collapse.

Engineers plan to study the site and determine the structure to be installed there.
