Omaha man convicted of felons’ ammunition possession

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A 22-year-old Omaha man was convicted in federal court this week for being in possession of ammunition.

Camron A. Rogers was sentenced by US District Court Judge Brian Buescher to 18 months in prison and then to three years under custody.

In October, authorities found several rounds of ammunition of various calibers – .22, 9mm, .380, .40 calibers, .223 and 12 gauge – in his bedroom. Rogers had already been convicted of criminal offenses by the Douglas counties and Sarpy counties at the time.

The case has been investigated by several agencies as part of the Department of Justice’s disruption and early intervention programs.
