Omaha Metropolis Council extends the masks ordinance by means of February
Omaha’s mask prescription will be extended in the first two months of next year.
On Tuesday, the city council voted to maintain the city’s mask ordinance for the next 90 days through most of February. The Council heard the last round of public comments during its October 27 meeting.
Alderman Pete Festersen proposed the extension, with members Ben Gray, Vinny Palermo and Chris Jerram all voting in favor. Councilor Amiee Melton was the only no-vote. Member Rich Pahls was absent and Councilor Brinker Harding was watching the meeting through Zoom.
The regulation is now valid until February 23.
