Omaha Performing Arts announces the return of the Broadway season

(Omaha, NE) – Broadway shows are returning to the subway. After shows and tours were canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Omaha Performing Arts is announcing the return of the shows with their 2021-2022 Broadway season.

The season starts in September and includes Cats, Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Fiddler on the Roof, Mean Girls, and Hadestown. Subscribers also have first access to special engagements from Wicked and Anastasia.

“We have worked closely with our Broadway colleagues as touring shows plan a safe return to theaters across the country this fall. We’re bringing back a spectacular Broadway season to Omaha and we appreciate the patience of our audience. We can’t wait to see these shows and our fans again! “Said Joan Squires, president of Omaha Performing Arts.

The Broadway benefit plan includes:

    • December 28, 2021 – January 2, 2022
  • VIOLIN ON THE ROOF
  • MEANS GIRL
  • HADESTOWN
    • March 29 – April 3, 2022
  • EVIL
    • April 27 – May 15, 2022
  • ANASTASIA

These shows replace all previously announced Broadway dates and performances. O-pa is working on bringing more already planned shows to Omaha in the coming seasons. Further information is available at TicketOmaha.com and O-pa.org as well as in the Ticket Omaha app.
