Omaha Police are investigating a theft and an tried theft

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha police are investigating a robbery and attempted robbery that took place over the weekend.

The officers went to the Downtown Food Mart supermarket on South 16th Street to attempt a robbery on Saturday night.

The grocery store clerk told police that a man had gone into the store, demonstrated a gun, and asked for money. The man left the shop after the clerk failed to comply.

The man is wearing a black hoodie, mask and gray jeans.

On Sunday morning, police went to the Speedy Gas N Shop gas station near Maple Street to commit a robbery.

The clerk told officers that a man went into the gas station, showed a gun and asked for money. The man left after receiving an unknown amount of money.

You describe the man with a fair complexion, 6 feet, 180 pounds, and wearing brown overalls and a black mask.
