Omaha Police are investigating the shooting overnight

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha police are investigating a shootout after officers found a man with multiple injuries on the ground early Wednesday.

According to the OPD report, police were called to an address near Park Avenue and Mason Streets, southeast of 30th Street and Leavenworth Streets, at 12:47 p.m. to investigate a malfunction. Upon arrival, officers heard “several shots in the west”.

When the officers moved to the area where they believed the shots had come, they found a 27-year-old man with multiple injuries on the ground. He was transported from the scene to the Nebraska Medical Center by Omaha Fire medics. His injuries have not been classified as life-threatening, the report said.
