Omaha Police arrest a lady for the loss of life of a person in Highland Tower

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha police on Saturday arrested a woman regarding the man who died in the Highland Tower.

Autum Acacia-Cortez, 37, was booked in Douglas County for first degree murder, gun use, and evidence manipulation.

On January 21, at 3:44 a.m., officers went to the Highland Tower near South 24th Street for a wellness check-up. They found Jose Martinez, 85, dead when they arrived.

The homicide squad is looking for Francisco Santiago, 53, to check his safety. Santiago has a missing left eye and an artificial right leg.
