Omaha Police determine a person who was killed in a crash on Interstate 80

One person was killed in an accident on Interstate 80 in Omaha early Monday morning, Douglas County officials confirm. The crash occurred in the eastbound lanes near 60th Street around 4:15 a.m. First responders found the vehicle on the outside shoulder of the interstate found that a 2003 Ford F250 was traveling east when the driver lost control and slipped in three lanes. It left the street on the south side, went down the embankment, and rolled several times. The driver was identified as 41-year-old Albert Aleman from Omaha. Nebraska Department of Transportation cameras reveal law enforcement agencies blocked the far right lane heading east at around 4:30 a.m. These lanes were reopened about an hour later. The crews kept the northbound driveway to 60th Street closed for a while.
