Omaha Police identify a man who was killed in gunfire

According to the Omaha Police Department, a 32-year-old man is dead after a shooting Wednesday afternoon. Officials responded to the shooting near South 36th Street and Vinton Street around 12:30 pm. Howard Meemer later died at the Nebraska Medical Center, according to police. The officers questioned at least one handcuffed person. The police said they were not looking for suspects.
