Opera Omaha reschedules Orpheum theater productions in 2020-21

Opera Omaha will reschedule its Orpheum Theater productions for the 2020/2021 season in response to the recent COVID-19 resurgence, 3 News Now.

“We have worked diligently with artists and creative teams to bring pre-planned titles and innovative Opera Omaha productions to the next year in our 2021/2022 season, which will be announced in early 2021,” the company said in a statement.

Opera Omaha has no Orpheum Theater events planned for the remainder of the 2020-2021 season. They will instead offer additional outdoor concerts in the neighborhood and are working to develop new outdoor performances for spring 2021.

The company is also planning digital content and virtual events for the future.

“Opera Omaha has benefited more than ever from partnerships and creative innovation this year. We have deepened our connections and camaraderie between our art partners and the opera community, working together to pool resources and keep art organizations alive,” the company stated. “We believe that as long as Opera Omaha continues to serve the community, we will remain worthy of the community’s support, and all of us at Opera Omaha look forward to enjoying exciting performances with our loyal customers and friends in the near future.”
