Recognized victims of home explosion in southern Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Omaha Fire Department released the names of those killed in the house explosion in southern Omaha on Tuesday morning.

Homeowner Theresa Toledo, 73, and her daughter Angela Miller, 46, were killed.

Two were transported to UNMC Code 3 in critical condition: a 28-year-old man – the homeowner’s grandson, Alexander Toledo – and a 72-year-old man.

A dog also died in the explosion. A second dog that is found and supported on site is doing well, according to the press release.

OFD and the Omaha Police Department are still investigating the cause of the explosion. This investigation is expected to be lengthy, according to the press release.

Houses to the north and south of the property were also damaged in the explosion.
