Scoular receives the Omaha Region Business Award

OMAHA, NEB. – Scoular was recognized by the Greater Omaha Chamber with the 2021 Business Excellence Award for Philanthropy.

It recognizes organizations that have a philosophy of promoting and influencing the health and wellbeing of the Omaha community.

“Businesses are critical to thriving communities – they catalyze innovation, create jobs, and build connections,” said David G. Brown, president and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber. “We would like to say: ‘Excellence is earned, not given. ‘and that goes for the 25 organizations we are honoring today. These organizations are extremely excellent. You are exceptional. “

The award is part of an annual tradition honoring U.S. organizations in Omaha, Nebraska, in each of four categories: philanthropy, leadership, innovation, and sustainable excellence. More than 70 companies were nominated for this year’s awards, of which, according to the organizers, only 25 were identified as winners.

“Scoular has a long history of using the time, talent, and treasure of Scoular and its employees to help our community partners redefine what can be done in their community impact,” said Megan Belcher, senior vice president and General Counsel to the Trustee of Scoular and the Scoular Foundation. “We are constantly striving to improve the quality of life in which our employees and stakeholders work and live, and we are delighted to see how the inclusion of our global commitment in our sustainability platform will continue to enrich this work.”

Scoular donates a percentage of its annual profit to the Scoular Foundation, which is committed to building long-term, high-impact partnerships with nonprofits and community organizations and investing in areas that matter to Scoular employees and community partners. For example, instead of having annual holiday celebrations in 2020, Scoular donated $ 120,000 to various food banks in the United States, including in many rural communities where Scoular employees work and live.
