The crews fight the house fire in southwest Omaha on Sunday morning

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – City fire departments managed to control a house fire that occurred near 121st and Grover Streets early Sunday.

Officials say the cause of the fire was determined to be an accident due to the careless disposal of smoking material. Firefighters found the back of the house on fire and began to get it under control.

The crew began work on the fire at 3:35 a.m. and the fire was under control at 3:57 a.m., according to a report by the Omaha Fire Department. Four people were at home during the fire and were able to get out before the fire department arrived.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
