The Omaha family are trying to get hockey equipment back

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – A thief receives hundreds of dollars’ worth of hockey equipment from an Omaha family driveway. Some of this is used to expand the game through the Omaha Hockey Club.

Hockey is the network that the Lill family weaves together.

“It’s pretty much all we do, it’s our date night,” said Abbie and Jordan Lill.

Every gamer knows you miss 100 percent of the shots that you don’t, but so do thieves. Like the one who stole Jason, a board member of the Omaha Hockey Club.

“It’s rental equipment that was used for kids who are just starting out to play hockey,” Jordan said.

The family usually store their gear in the garage, but leave helmets, gloves, pads, and ice skates in the car after a busy night on the ice. Some of the equipment was her own and unique to her.

“My gloves are mostly Minnesota North Star gloves. So they’re like bright yellow, bright green, black and white, ”Abbie said.

Another member of the Omaha Hockey Club raised $ 1,300 on Sunday to aid the Lill’s losses as they prepared to leave Omaha for Fargo, North Dakota.

Whether it’s new equipment or what’s stolen, Lill’s Know Hockey in Omaha is in good hands.

The family contacted hockey dealers in the area and said the right people were looking for the stolen equipment.
