The Omaha Police are investigating near the 20th and the lake overnight

Omaha police have confirmed they are continuing to investigate an overnight shooting that injured a victim. At 2:09 a.m., officers answered the 2400 block on North 24th Street after receiving calls reporting a large crowd. When the officers arrived, they heard gunfire in the area. OPD did not find any gunshot victims at the scene, but shortly afterwards police learned that a victim entered the CHI Health Clinic on 24th and Cuming Streets to treat a gunshot wound. The victim, Lamontrell Ashley, 25, told OPD that he was shot somewhere in the North 20th and Lake Streets area. Investigators said Ashley’s injury was not life threatening.
