Two are treated for head injuries in an accident in northwest Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Two drivers are treated for head injuries after a car accident on Monday morning.

Officers went to see a two car accident at 111 & West Maple at 9:54 a.m. While investigating, they found that a 2012 Nissan Altima driven by a 41-year-old didn’t give in when they tried to turn north on Emmett from West Maple.

The Nissan was hit west by a Jeep Cherokee in 2006. The driver of the Nissan was not wearing a seat belt and is being treated for a critical head injury that is considered life-threatening.

The driver of the jeep was wearing seat belts and is being treated for a serious head injury. Both drivers were taken to Bergan Mercy by the Omaha Fire medics, and West Maple Road was closed until 12:30 p.m.
