Two women shot near Omaha Park, suspect arrested

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha police have arrested a man they believe may be linked to the Tuesday afternoon shooting.

Koda Dumarce, 33, was charged in Douglas County on two charges of second degree assault, two charges of use of a gun and weapon used by a prohibited person, and firing of a firearm.

Officers were called to the 19th at 3:54 p.m. and Pinkney said there had been some sort of argument from Kountze Park. When officers arrived, they found that an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old had been shot and taken to Creighton Hospital in a private car.

The injuries to the two women are not life-threatening. According to the OPD, witnesses gave the police descriptions and a license plate number.

A program was broadcast from the alleged car and officers were able to track down Dumarce in the area of ​​47th and Larimore Avenues. He was taken into custody without incident and went to headquarters.
