Union Omaha opens seek for new title sponsor on the staff’s 2021 jersey

After a successful opening season, Union Omaha has started the search for a new title sponsor for the team’s official 2021 jersey. To guide the process, the club hired Professional Sports Partners (PSP), a sports marketing consultant based in Houston, Texas.

Union Omaha is the eleventh team in the first division and the only professional soccer team in the state of Nebraska. USL League One is a United States Soccer Federation-approved professional men’s soccer league that has just completed its inaugural season and occupies tier three of the American football landscape under the USL Championship (Tier 2) and Major League Soccer (Tier 1). Union Omaha will play their home games at Werner Park in Sarpy County, where the Omaha Storm Chasers of minor league baseball also play. The team is led by head coach Jay Mims in the field and chief operating officer Matt Homonoff in the front office.

In 2020, Union Omaha donated the shirt sponsorship to CHI Health and Nebraska Medicine to raise awareness, raise funds, and help healthcare workers fight COVID-19. Despite the challenges of the 2020 season, Union Omaha sold out all eight home games and delivered a championship product on the field. With every game broadcast live to a national audience on ESPN +, Union Omaha’s message of unity reached a large, diverse audience. Now the club is looking for a shirt sponsor who does justice to the club’s commitment to the community and its loyal fan base.

“Despite the pandemic, our fans made Union Omaha 2020 the success story of American football. We know PSP’s Omaha roots will do a great job promoting our strong brand in the community, ”said Gary Green, CEO of Union Omaha.

PSP is very familiar with the Omaha subway area. In 2018 they led the search for a new naming rights partner for the Metropolitan Entertainment Center Authority (MECA), the arena and the convention center in downtown Omaha. This project resulted in a new 20 year partnership for the facility. PSP CEO Jason Kohll and Executive Director Erik Pulverenti are both Omaha natives who are excited to partner with Union Omaha.

“The Jersey partnership is one of the most valuable in any sport,” said Kohll, “and Union Omaha has built a foundation within the world’s most popular sport that enables them to become one of the most influential brands in the region. We are. ” excited to find the right brand partner for you. ”
