Weekend Internet Further: Distinctive Omaha Eating places

OMAHA, NE – Nobody will argue that Omaha has a lot of restaurants. And many of them are unique and locally owned.

Tim and Lisa Trudell are local bloggers known as The Walking Tourists.

Last year they wrote a book called 100 Things To Do In Omaha Before You Die.

Now they’re turning to Omaha’s food scene with a new book called Unique Eats and Eateries of Omaha.

The book focuses on 91 restaurants and food-themed establishments in Metro Omaha and delves into the history of each one of them.

The writers sat down at Hardy Coffee with Geoff Roth, the news director of 3 News Now, to talk about the book and Omaha’s diverse food scene.

If interested, the book is available for sale online at atuniqueeatsomaha.com.

It will also soon be available in local bookstores.

Tim and Lisa will be in town in the coming weeks to talk about their book. The list is below.
